The <footer> tag is used to define the footer of an HTML document or nearest section.

The <footer> tag usually contains information such as

  • the author of the document/section
  • copyright information
  • sitemap (Only link)
  • terms of use (Only link)
  • privacy policy (Only link)

Attributes

There is no special attributes for <footer> tag. Only Global attributes.
