HTML <dt> tag

The <dt> tag specifies a term in a description or definition list.

There are 2 rules to follow while using <dt> tag. They are

  • The <dt> tag should be used within <dl> tag.
  • It is usually followed by a <dd> element; however, multiple <dt> elements in a row indicate several terms that are all defined by the immediate next <dd> element.

Attributes

There is no special attributes for <dt> tag. Only Global attributes.
