C++ Program to find Maximum Value of an Array

Find Maximum Value of an Array

In the following example, we will find the maximum value of an array (arr).

Example

C++ Compiler
#include <iostream> using namespace std; int main() { int i, max; int arr[5] = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}; max = arr[0]; for(i=1; i<5; i++) { if(max < arr[i]) max = arr[i]; } cout << "Maximum value of Array: "<< max; return 0; }

In the following example, we will get any five integer values from the user and return the maximum value among those.

Example

C++ Compiler
#include <iostream> using namespace std; int main() { int i, max, arr[5]; cout << "Enter any 5 (int) numbers:\n"; for(i=0; i<5; i++) cin >> arr[i]; max = arr[0]; for(i=1; i<5; i++) { if(max < arr[i]) max = arr[i]; } cout << "Maximum value of Array: "<< max; return 0; }
