The transparentize() function makes a given color more transparent.

Note: You can also use fade-out($color, $amount)

Example

SASS TO CSS CONVERTER
.foo{ color: transparentize(rgba(#fff, 0.9), 0.5); }

Syntax

transparentize($color, $amount); // or fade-out($color, $amount)

Parameter Value

ValueTypeExplanation
$colorRequiredSpecifies a color
$amountRequiredDecreases the alpha channel of $color by that amount. The $amount must be a number between 0 and 1 (both are inclusive).

Return Value

ValueExplanation
NumberReturns the transparent color.
